Freerunner with Android

SDG Systems, LLC announced today that it will offer Google Android preloaded on the Openmoko Neo Freerunner phone. SDG Systems is working in cooperation with Koolu and Openmoko to bring Android to the Freerunner. SDG Systems will offer Android as an installable option on the Freerunner beginning in early December. The initial version of Android on the Freerunner will be a "beta" pre-release version and is intended for developers and evaluators. Purchasers will obtain updates as they are released at no additional charge. A fully-supported and customizable final release is expected in Q1, 2009. Pre-orders for the beta version are being accepted beginning November 20.
