You can download photos manually from the mobile app or web app by:
searching, then click the blue download button
click the checkbox on the upper left of the photo thumbnail, then click other photos, then click the blue download button
open a photo and click the download button
To download photos automatically use our PhotoTag Connector application which can download and rename your photos based on the tags and categories. Custom downloading is also an option using our API.
Categories broadly group photos, while tags label your photos in more detail. For example, if you want to document your shipping process by taking a photo of your product before it ships, you can set the category as shipping, and the specific barcode of your product as a tag.
Categories are created administratively in the web application. Tags are created in the field using a mobile device, often by scanning a barcode.
Yes, you can add several tags and categories for each or multiple photos.
Here are the different user permissions:
A guest User may only view images and categories or tags.
A standard User may view (read) and add (write) most fields, but not delete. These include images and categories.
A Photo Editor adds delete capability to a standard user, but may not administer the PhotoTag instance.
An administrative User can use all aspects of PhotoTag including creating user accounts and modifying categories.
Yes, we have an offline mode. Photos will be uploaded to the cloud once internet connection is restored. You may need to enter the app and refresh (pull down from List view) to force a check for being back online.
In the web app, you can click on the geotag watermark of the picture.
In either the mobile or web app, you can also click on the photo. The latitude and longitude will appear near the photo, along with other photo details. If you click on the geotag watermark icon to the left of either the latitude or longitude, the location will be shown on Google Maps.
Photos must be downloaded to share them. However, you can create a Guest account for view-only access to PhotoTag. A Guest account can be restricted to see only photos belonging to certain categories.
On the mobile app, click on the photo. The comment will appear under the photo. You can also click on the photo directly to view comments and other metadata.
On the web app, click on the watermark icon. The comment will appear in a pop-up box. Or, click on the photo. The comment will appear on the right side of the photo, along with other metadata.
